Keep Your Promises To build Trust
Whenever you promise to do something for someone be it to call them back or get a job done for them ensure you deliver that within the agreed timeline.
For example if you are given an article to write and the deadline is due in 3 days ensure on the third day you submit.
The point is not only just submitting the article on time,its also about following the guidelines you agreed upon with your client.That meets their satisfaction and they are likely to work with you again because you kept your promise.
Call people back if you promise to,have you heard people gossip around the office how a certain colleague never calls back either after finding missed calls or after promising to call back?You will find most people are less likely to be communicating to him.
Because they do not trust him to pick their calls so he misses out on some of the opportunities that occur at work while he is away.

- Give promises that are doable based on your ability and schedule
- Keep a reminder-people forget do not that let that cost your trust with people

There are people who throw tantrums whenever the two of you were just talking about an issue they always feel attacked and they hurl all sorts of insults at you.

Some people see communicating as a competition every time you talk to them they ensure they become winners in that discussion yet it was just a normal talk and not a competition.

- Rehearsal -before you approach someone to talk to them you have got to rehearse what you will say to them and how you will answer any related questions that may arise ,keep your sentences short and clear. Short sentences are purposely used to avoid creating confusion and people mentally checking out whenever they are listening to you and they also portray confidence.
- Avoid people who do not communicate effectively,you cannot teach an adult how to communicate effectively unless you are a coach that they have paid to do so.Take that burden off you if you are not that coach.
- Know your audience -sometimes we fail to communicate effectively because we do not know what type of audiences we are addressing ,is it a children audience, women only audience (what’s their marital,employment status,age group)men only audience (what’s their age group, marital,employment status etc)
- Read books that sharpen your language and the brain since the two are responsible for effective communication.
- Work on your courage and confidence most people lack good communication skills because they lack courage and confidence.

Clearly state what you stand for and who you are whenever you are interacting with people.
Not everyone will like you for you but at end of the day it earns you some trust from people and some peace of mind.
People can notice when you are being fake by either noticing you are trying so hard to fit in either in a friends group or organization.
Your body language can sell you out whenever you try to be someone else for example the fake smiles,your posture etc and telling lies
Not being yourself can build lack of trust between people because how do you trust someone who is not revealing who they are.
